Boston teen convicted in crash that left 2 with life-altering injuries

BOSTON — A young West Roxbury man has been convicted in connection with an Arborway crash that left two people with devastating injuries.

A jury convicted 20-year-old Nikolas Papadopolous of negligent operation in the September, 2013 crash.

Papadopolous will be sentenced Feb. 3 and faces a maximum of two years behind bars.

Prosecutors say he was speeding with several other teens in his car after school when he crossed the center line and hit a truck.

The driver of that truck suffered brain trauma and can no longer communicate.

A 14-year old riding with Papadopolous was thrown from the car and is now in a wheelchair.
