BOSTON — Boston Police are looking the public for help in catching the person responsible who shot and killed a man as he sat inside a vehicle in Roxbury.
Godfrey Hall, 28, of Dorchester, was shot at the corner of Crawford Street and Humboldt Avenue at about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
"No information is too small, too little. Just please, alert us," said Boston Police Commissioner William Gross during a press conference late Tuesday afternoon, in making a plea to the public for help in finding the shooter.

Tania Muino heard the gunfire.
"I heard the shots, maybe 17? It was a lot. Ten very, very fast, then silence and more shots," Muino said.
Police say Godfrey was struck multiple times. He was in a black Mazda and police think he ran to nearby Howland Street. He was then rushed to a Boston hospital, where he later died.
The black Mazda he was in had several bullet holes. The back windows were blown out.
At least 13 evidence markers showed where shell casings hit the pavement.
And after the flurry of bullets, Muino looked out her window, and what she saw shocked her.
“When I looked from my kitchen there was a truck where the person was hit and there was a school bus behind it," she said.
A source confirmed for Boston 25 News that a school bus was on Crawford Street at the time of the shooting, and that students were on the bus.
That's why Gross seemed so upset about the shooting taking place in the middle of the afternoon, asking the public for help in identifying the shooter.
"We owe no allegiance to anybody that would shoot somebody at 4:30 in the afternoon," Gross said.
A motive for the shooting was also unclear Tuesday.
Investigators combed the area where the shooting occurred. The crime scene was covered in several layers of yellow police tape.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Boston Police at 1-800-494-TIPS.
