Boston police investigating deadly overnight shooting

BOSTON — Boston police say they are investigating an overnight shooting that left a man dead.

Police said thy received word of the shooting on Cedar Street in Mattapan just before 10 p.m.

When officers arrived they said they located an unidentified 30-year-old man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police.
