More than 200 Boston Globe business and newsroom employees, along with other staffers, helped deliver the morning paper this Sunday, after several days of delivery issues.
Over the last week, The Boston Globe said it received thousands of calls from customers saying they hadn't received their daily paper. The Globe is transitioning to a new delivery service, ACI Media.
Pete Doucette, Boston Globe's vice president of consumers sales and marketing, said that the Globe started working with ACI Media because the paper "firmly believed, and still do, that it was necessary to assure a higher level of delivery and customer service over the long term."

Doucette acknowledged that the service disruptions have been frustrating; the 600 new carriers are learning new delivery routes and the addresses of all Globe subscribers. The Globe sent an email to subscribers Sunday, explaining that the Sunday Globe may be delivered late and that subscribers can access the Globe online.

Why is there a problem with the Boston Globe delivery? Didn't they hire a professional company that knows what they're doing? I don't get it

Among those helping deliver papers Sunday morning were business and operations staff, general reporters and leaders in the newsroom, said Doucette.
The Globe hopes this weekend's effort shows their dedication to their customers and thanked subscribers for their patience, though many have expressed frustration on social media about the poor delivery.
