TAUNTON, Mass. — A body was pulled from the Taunton River Saturday evening.
Police said two people were canoeing down the river when they spotted what appeared to be a body in the river.
Accessing the river from Power Street, officials found a body in debris at bank.
The body belonged to a man in his 40s and it appears the body was in the water for a period of time. The body was taken by the Medical Examiner's office.
The Taunton Police Detective Division along with the Massachusetts State Police is investigating.
