AMESBURY, Mass. — The District Attorney's office is investigating after a body was found in the Merrimack River in Amesbury.
Friday afternoon, a male's body washed ashore the bank of the river near 153 Pleasant Valley Rd. The man was fully clothed and dressed for winter weather.
The DA’s office said that there were no visible signs of trauma on the man.
The Medical Examiner's office will determine the official cause of death.
