BOSTON — A body has been found in the water of the Charles River up against the bank of the Esplanade in Boston. Limited details have been released, but the body was found along the banks of the Charles River around 3:45 p.m.
Police have been searching in the area for Ram Jayakumar, a 26-year-old from Lexington, since last Thursday. It is important to note that police have not identified the body found at this point, other than to say it is an adult male.

The Massachusetts State Police Marine Unit is responding to the scene to assist with recovering the body from the water.
Jayakumar's car was found in Boston on Bay State Road near Silber Way shortly after his disappearance. Bay State Road runs parallel to Storrow Drive and ends just before the start of the Esplanade.
The Suffolk County District Attorney said the body did have a wallet and ID, but again they have not publicly identified the person.
