Blue Line train derails in East Boston

BOSTON (MyFoxBoston.com) -- A Blue Line train derailed on Thursday afternoon.

SKYFOX was over the scene near Orient Heights just after 3:30 p.m.

MBTA officials tell FOX 25 the train was moving onto the main line when one of its cars derailed. No passengers were on the train at the time of the derailment.

The MBTA released an advisory at 3 p.m. telling commuters the Blue Line was being replaced with bus service between Suffolk Downs and Airport Stations due to a disabled train. Service was restored by 4:30 p.m.
