Barnstable High School teacher under investigation for misconduct

BARNSTABLE, Mass. — A Barnstable High School teacher has been placed on leave for improper conduct.

Police told Boston 25 the allegations were recently reported by a female and detectives still need to question all of the parties involved.

"The district is aware of allegations of improper conduct involving a Barnstable High School teacher.  We take these allegations seriously and are cooperating with the Barnstable Police Department as the matter is investigated," said the school district.

No names or further details were provided.

Barnstable High School serves students eight through 12th grade.
