NORTH ATTLEBOROUGH, Mass. - Authorities have recovered the body of a 16-year-old who went missing while swimming at a pond in North Attleborough on Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to reports of a person missing in the water at Whiting Pond Beach just before 5:00 p.m.

Dive teams from Bristol County, Plainville and Norton Fire Departments were called to the scene to help with the rescue.

Hours later, officials pulled the teen's body from the water.
