BOSTON — Eleven people escaped a two-alarm house fire in Dorchester early Friday and now arson investigators are looking into what sparked the blaze.

Firefighters were called just before 2 a.m. to 60 Topliff St., where the second and first floors of a 2 1/2-story house were ablaze, Boston Fire Chief Jeff Whitman said at an early morning news conference.

Nine adults and two children got out safely, Whitman said, and no firefighters were injured.
The chief said the fire appears to have started outside, near a porch. Arson investigators were still at the scene around 4:30 Friday morning to help determine the cause of the fire.
