BOSTON- — Anthony Martignetti, who played the young boy from the iconic 1969 Prince Spaghetti commercial, has died at the age of 63.
At 12-years-old, he starred in the popular ad for Prince Spaghetti where he ran home through the streets of the North End because Wednesday night was “Prince Spaghetti Night.”
In 2019, Martignetti joined Boston 25 Morning News to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic commercial that made him a household name.
According to Martignetti’s brother, he passed away in his sleep.
The medical examiner’s office has not released an official time and cause of death.
His funeral will be held on Friday at St. Theresa’s in West Roxbury and he will be buried at the Forest Hill Cemetery.
