CANOE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — An 18-year-old Pennsylvania Amish man is charged with drunk driving after state police stopped the buggy he was driving while two of his four passengers rode on the roof, according to multiple reports.

Robert Miller, of Punxsutawney, and his four friends were also cited for underage drinking. The friends ranged in age from 16 to 20 years old, according to The Associated Press.

The legal drinking age in Pennsylvania is 21.

Police said all five people arrested had alcohol with them when police stopped their buggy last month for a safety issue. According to WJAC, Miller was stopped July 8 in Indiana County for a safety issue after someone spotted him driving with people on the roof.

The charges were announced Wednesday.

No attorneys were listed for the suspects, the AP reported.
