8 men arrested in undercover operation to battle Worcester prostitution issue

Eight men were arrested after an undercover operation in Worcester to combat an ongoing prostitution problem, according to Worcester Police.

Members of the Worcester Police Vice Squad conducted undercover surveillance in the Main South area due to the issue, and undercover vice officers deployed decoy female officers to walk the streets in the area Thursday evening into early Friday morning.

Police arrested eight men in the operation, and charged them all with sexual conduct for a fee.

Among the arrests were 51-year-old Saady Mikah, 26-year-old Sylvester Konadu, 18-year-old Mark Kabundi, 69-year-old Kofi Opku-Agyemamg, 45-year-old Kelvin Vick, 19-year-old Uxbridge native Gurdeep Randhawa, 44-year-old Webster native Antony Mathu and 29-year-old Marlborough native Boris Alexis Mendez-Ciragua.

All eight were arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
