WELLFLEET, Mass. — A 77-year-old woman was found unresponsive in Long Pond in Wellfleet, according to local police. That victim has been transported to Cape Cod Hospital; her condition, at publishing time, is unknown.
Officials received a call for an unresponsive swimmer in the pond at 5:12 p.m. on Saturday. Once emergency services arrived, police and fire personnel performed CPR on the victim.
Update: Unfortunately the 77 year old woman did not survive and has passed. We will not be releasing the name as that...
