WATERTOWN, Mass. — 25 Investigates uncovered new information about the Watertown day care at the center of an infant death investigation.

The doors are now locked and the lights are off at Strawberry Child Care in Watertown after a 5-month-old girl was found unresponsive, prompting the state to issue an emergency suspension and revocation order, meaning the day care can no longer provide child care services.

25 Investigates has learned on September 13 the child had a medical emergency, but according to the 'Notice of Revocation' letter from the state, the day care failed to administer CPR.

The letter goes on to say the day care's license was also suspended for placing "infants and children at risk, failing to exercise good judgment during an emergency, and failing to adequately supervise infants enrolled in the program."

Strawberry Child Care's Brookline location is still open, but the state has frozen its enrollment. The state has closed the Watertown day care after, according to the letter, the state found the workers at the Watertown location failed to administer CPR during an infant's medical emergency, and the infant passed away.

The state is now helping the families who used the Watertown day care find alternative child care.
25 Investigates is waiting on more records from the state that we expect to get this week. We reached out to day care owner Monica Ryan by phone but she told us she had no comment.
