NORWOOD, Mass. — After allegedly refusing to stop for police while speeding on Route 95 north in Sharon, officials said one young man died and another suffered life-threatening injuries.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, a Massachusetts State Police Trooper tried to stop the speeding car before it fled. Moments later, the car crashed in the area of Exit 11 in Norwood, according to Mass. State Police.
The trooper requested EMS and the fire department for help.
Police said a 22-year-old man from Revere, believed to be the driver, was brought to Good Samaritan Hospital where he died. A 20-year-old man from Revere, believed to be the passenger, was brought to Boston Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
No other cars were involved in the crash, police said, which is under investigation.
