2 seriously injured when car crashes into tree in NH

EPPING, N.H. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Two people suffered serious injuries after a car crashed into a tree on Camp Lee Road Monday afternoon.

According to police, the crash happened just before 3 p.m. Vincent Casazza, 19, of Newmarket, N.H., was driving south on the road in a 2010 Infinity G37x when he reportedly lost control of the car. The car went off the road, "crashing into several trees," police said.

Casazza and his passenger, 17-year-old Kyle Ward of Laconia, N.H. were trapped inside the car.

Police, fire and rescue workers all responded to the scene and were able to extricate Casazza and Ward from the car. Ward was airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston via MedFlight, and has life-threatening injuries. Casazza has serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Police closed Camp Lee Road for several hours around the crash site so the car could be removed, and investigators could reconstruct the scene. State Police continue to investigate, but did say speed was a factor in the crash.
