Baby and 23-year-old identified as victims in deadly NH house fire

NORTH HAMPTON, N.H. — The two victims of Friday night's fatal house fire in North Hampton have been identified, according to a release from the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's Office.

Those victims have been identified as Benjamin Fauteux, 23, of Hillsboro, Emerson Quinonez, 1, of North Hampton. The New Hampshire Medical Examiner's Office has ruled their cause of death as accidental due to smoke inhalation.

Around 8:12 p.m. on Friday, North Hampton Fire and Police Departments arrived at a two-family home at 90 Lovering Road.

Shortly after arriving at scene they rescued one person before bringing in numerous hoses to fight the fire. The two victims were found in the house, but later died at area hospitals.

"The Town of North Hampton is deeply saddened by the loss of life recently occurring in our community," North Hampton Fire & Rescue wrote in a release. "Our hearts go out to the victims and families affected by this tragedy."

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
