MARSTONS MILLS, Mass. (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Police are searching for the suspects who robbed a bank in Marstons Mills Tuesday.
At about 4 p.m., a man armed with a gun robbed the Eastern Bank on Route 28, officials say. Barnstable police are investigating the robbery with the help of Sandwich detectives who are looking into a similar robbery that happened in their town.
Brendan Millham, 22, of Sandwich was named a suspect, according to police, as he had been in the bank several hours before the robbery acting suspiciously. He left the area in a black Toyota Tacoma pickup truck.
Investigators set up surveillance and followed Millham to a CVS parking lot on Route 6A in Sandwich where he was seen shooting heroin. He was arrested and charged with possession of heroin. After investigating further, police found that Millham had a large amount of cash in his car from the Eastern Bank robbery.
Detectives continued their surveillance and at about 3 a.m. on Wednesday Kyle Marrs, 23, returned to his apartment and police found that he also had cash from the Eastern Bank robbery. He later confessed to his involvement, police say.
Police searched Marrs' apartment and found the mask, clothing, and gun used in the robbery. Millham later confessed to being the masked robber and was charged with armed robbery while masked, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition in addition to his earlier possession charge.
Marrs was charged with armed robbery while masked.
