17-year-old arrested for violent armed robbery at Weymouth gas station

Weymouth Police have made an arrest in connection to the brutal attack in a gas station that was caught on camera last Thursday.

Friday, detectives arrested a 17-year-old male from Revere for armed robbery of the Mobil Gas Station on 512 Main St.

The store manager had exclusively showed Boston 25 News surveillance video of three men walking into the gas station on Route 18 in Weymouth around 3:30 Thursday morning. In the footage, one of the men sneaks up behind the clerk, holding a gun to his back. When the clerk tried to fight them off, they hit him with the gun. After the suspects ran off, the clerk was finally able to call police.

The suspect, whose name is not being released, is being held on $10,000 cash bail. The other two men involved have not been found.

The investigation is ongoing.
