CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A 17-year-old was arrested Sunday for the November murder of a man in Cambridge, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office.
Kevin Reddick, 17, was the teen who shot and killed 28-year-old Malachi Mims November 16, according to Cambridge police.
Reddick has been charged with murder, armed assault with intent to murder and two counts of armed assault with intent to rob, among other firearms possession charges.
Several people called 911 that November night after hearing gunshots in the area of Hampshire Street, which was packed with people at the time.

Police told Boston 25 News the area is usually safe. It’s filled with shops and restaurants, and is just steps from the MIT campus.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim, later identified as Mims, collapsed in the middle of the street.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police said a dark colored sedan was seen leaving the scene and launched a search based on that.
Officers arrested Reddick in Boston Sunday.
