NEW YORK (MyFoxBoston.com) -- Harry Potter fans, start planning your trip to London.
J.K. Rowling announced new details about the new play, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," which picks up where the seventh book in the Harry Potter series left off, about 19 years after the battle with Voldemort. J.K. Rowling said on her Facebook page that the play will be the eighth story in the series. The play will focus Harry's life working at the Ministry of Magic and his youngest son, Albus, as he struggles with the weight of his family's legacy.
The play is presented in two parts in London's West Bank, which are intended to be seen in order (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings.
J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany wrote the original play and Tiffany will direct it. There is no word on who has been cast in the play or if Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson or Rupert Grint will reprise their roles.
The play will open for priority booking on Oct. 28 and public booking on Oct. 30. The show officially opens July 30, 2016. If you buy a seat to the preview shows, tickets range from $22 USD to $110 for both part one and two. For the regular shows, tickets are $30 to $145 USD.
