Lauren Pozen, WSB-TV
Lauren Pozen joined Channel 2 Action News in November of 2017. She comes to Atlanta from KMOV in St. Louis, MO, where she served as a reporter and fill-in-anchor. During Lauren’s time in St. Louis she covered a wide range of stories from protests to high profile court cases to the crime beat.
She hails from California and is a graduate of The University of Southern California with a degree from the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.
Lauren began her on-air career at KIMO-TV, the ABC affiliate in Anchorage, Alaska. As main anchor, some of her favorite memories include covering the 2008 Presidential Election and the Iditarod. From there Lauren went to KEYT-TV, the ABC affiliate in Santa Barbara, California. As a reporter, she covered the royal visit of Prince William and Kate at the Santa Barbara Polo Club. From there, Lauren went to WVVA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Bluefield, West Virginia. In addition to anchoring the morning show, she was responsible for "Traveling the Two Virginias." The series highlighted unique people and fun places to travel throughout the two states. Lauren then joined KSPR, the ABC affiliate in Springfield, Missouri. She reported extensively on the crime beat, along with consumer and human interest stories. Lauren was awarded the 2015 Heart of America Gold Award in general reporting where she profiled two young girls who ran away from a man they say tried to kidnap them.
Prior to her on-air career, Lauren worked for Ryan Seacrest, Dr. Phil and Thomas Roberts from Entertainment Tonight. Highlights included covering The Oscars and Primetime Emmy Awards.
Lauren is an avid equestrian. She has won numerous awards for her skills and expertise in the competitive show arena. As a debutante, her community work included volunteering for the California Pegasus Riding Academy. The riding program is therapy for disabled children and adults. Lauren also enjoys volunteering at local animal shelters. She has a rescue Irish Setter named Ferrari.
