Some students in Boston got a special surprise as retired Red Sox slugger David Ortiz popped by as part of a citywide donation of Red Sox hats.
More than 46,000 public school students and staff will get the headgear in the third straight year that the hats are being handed out.

Thursday morning, students at the Sarah Greenwood School got an added bonus with the donation, as Ortiz came in from the back with Wally the Green Monster by his side to pile on the Red Sox pride.
