CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — A man is accused of taking pictures on his cellphone of unsuspecting bathroom goers inside the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall.

"It's a little creepy when you hear something like that," said Dale Sorensen, a customer.

A year ago two men alerted the Cambridgeside Galleria Mall security officers that they believed they had been photographed in the bathroom stalls. Surveillance footage showed a man had spent several hours inside the men's bathroom.

After searching the man's phone and laptop, investigators found images of men using the restroom.

"It makes me feel uncomfortable," said Fernando Scione, of Cambridge. "You’re in the bathroom, you don’t worry about what person is next to you, [but] now you have to take a look around and see what’s going on."

Police arrested 47-year-old Paul Leondike and charged him with 51 counts of photographing an unsuspecting nude person.

"I'm not surprised," said Christine, who lives in Cambridge. "There is a lot of paraphilia in the world, people with abnormal sexual propensities."

Customers said they don't expect this type of behavior, especially at this particular mall.

"If he was looking at me, I would say to him, 'Mind your own business and don’t look at me,'" said Scione. "Now I have to think twice and see that no one is looking around."

A source told Boston 25 News Leondike works at the Marlowe Hotel next door to the mall.

He was indicted and is set to be arraigned Thursday.
