BROCKTON, Mass. — A man was arrested after allegedly photographing a woman while she was shopping at Market Basket.

The woman told police that she noticed a "large man" next to her while at the store, and he's now accused of taking his cell phone and taking pictures under her dress.

The victim told police she was in the vegetable section around 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon when she said the man, identified as 37-year-old Fabian Gil Castaneda, was standing too close to her.

A woman in a scooter alerted the woman, telling her Castaneda was "taking pictures up her dress."

An employee from the Market Basket called police after being alerted, and surveillance video shows Castaneda bending over and taking his cell phone and placing it under her dress.

"It's horrible, it's disgusting," a customer said. "Why do people do stuff like that?"

Castaneda was charged with upskirting at the Market Basket in Brockton, and customers are now left to wrap their heads around the news.

"Scared and nervous," customer Sabrina Quinones said. "Things like that shouldn't happen in public, shouldn't happen at all."

Police say they looked at the 37-year-old's phone and didn't find any pictures of the victim.

Authorities, however, believe he had enough time to delete the images.

Castaneda faced a judge and was released, and is expected to be back in court on December 12.
