PORTLAND, M.E. — Haddie is the name of a rare cotton candy lobster who was caught by Maine Lobsterman Bill. He is a well-known lobsterman across the state and a longtime ‘Get Maine Lobster’ supplier.
Bill named this beautifully colored lobster Haddie after his granddaughter.
The odds of a Cotton Candy lobster being caught is one in 100 million and because of this GML preserved her.
Currently, Haddie is hanging out in lobsterman Mark’s tank at the wharf in order to make sure she lives the rest of her life in safety and comfort since these rare colored lobsters have a harder time surviving in the wild.
Mark and his lobster supply company are asking for interested aquariums who would like to adopt her to reach out to him and his team.
