BOSTON — A luxury apartment complex is at the center of a police investigation in the South End.
Boston Police say this is currently a death investigation of a woman but sources tell 25 Investigates this will likely be considered a homicide investigation.
Police are still awaiting the autopsy report of that woman.
She was found dead in the Harris Apartment Complex in the South End after a well-being check was called in around 7 p.m. Thursday night.
Boston Police Commissioner Friday morning couldn’t offer many details about the investigation but called it a tragedy.
“I don’t believe this is anything for the public to be alarmed about,” Cox said. “Particularly this time of year sometimes brings out a lot of sorrow despair and families so take advantage of the help that’s offered.”
Police haven’t announced any arrests made at this point but the investigation is still active on Harrison Avenue. Neighbors were stunned by the situation.
