BRIGHTON, Mass. — A fatal single-vehicle crash that happened overnight Monday on I-90 is underway investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
MSP told Boston 25 News troopers responded to the 129.6-mile marker on the eastbound side of the Mass. Pike where they found a 2019 Honda Civic that veered off the roadway to the left and struck a jersey barrier before making its way across all lanes, striking the guardrail, and veering back across all lanes into the jersey barrier again where it came to a final stop.
Authorities confirmed the driver, Joseph Fournier, 18, of Burlington, was determined dead at the scene, and police believe speed to be a contributing factor.
