BOSTON — The Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins may not drop the puck until January 2nd but Boston City Hall will be a hockey epicenter all New Years Eve weekend.
While Fenway prepares to host the Winter Classic for the second time, City Hall will host the NHL Winter Classic Fan Plaza, a hockey hub of games and activities for fans.
The Fan Plaza will be free to enter on December 30 and 31.
Not only will fans be able to play games of giant air hockey they will also be able to meet famous Bruins alumni and even get to see the Stanley Cup.
The NHL Winter Classic Plaza will be open from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 30 and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31.
Fans will be able to take a photo with the Stanley Cup on Dec. 30 from 2:30 p.m. to 7: 00 p.m. and on December 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Bruins and Penguins will drop the puck at Fenway on January 2, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
