BOSTON — The state has just announced that all Massachusetts residents aged 18 and over are eligible to get a COVID-19 booster, effective immediately.
Before Governor Charlie Baker’s announcement, only those over 65 years old or those immunocompromised were eligible for the booster shot.
Now, anyone over the age of 18 can get a booster shot six months after receiving the second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines - or two months since receiving the Johnson & Johnson single-dose vaccine.
