Man accused of following teenage girls home, exposing himself to them

BOSTON — A man is accused of following two teenage girls and exposing himself to them in Boston.

Richard Bourre appeared in Dorchester District Court Tuesday afternoon after being charged with a gross and lewd act after trespassing. A judge found him not guilty on the lewdness charge.

The mother of the 17-year-old victim told Boston 25 News her daughter and niece came home from a softball game at the fields near TechBoston Academy in Dorchester and said they were being followed.

Boston Police say Bourre was located under a porch of the family home with a leather harness-type contraption on over his clothes. Police say he was also committing a lewd act.

"He was like peeking over the porch, like underneath the porch, crouched down," she told us.

Police say the yard had signs making it clear there was no trespassing.

Bourre told police he was having sex on a nearby street and he was trying to get out of the rain. The victim and her mother say they recognized Bourre from another encounter earlier this month at the same softball field.

"He had like a black blanket over his lap. Everybody asked if he was a parent and all the girls said no," she said.

When police arrested Bourre, he said he did not have any sharp items on him, but they say the 57-year-old had an uncapped syringe in his pocket and told officers he is HIV positive.

The teen tells Boston 25 News she's just lucky she is OK.

Bourre was placed on a GPS device before being released. He was ordered to stay away from the school and the teen’s home.

Editor’s Note: Boston 25 News learned he was found guilty on the trespassing charge but not guilty on the open and gross lewdness charge.
