Driver dies in Foxborough crash after apparent medical episode

The driver of a truck that crashed in Foxborough died after an apparent medical emergency.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The driver of a truck that crashed in Foxborough Tuesday morning has died, police said.

Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Winter Street and Elm Street around 6:17 a.m.

Police said a 15-foot truck was traveling on Winter Street, continued across Elm Street and went off the roadway and across the embankment of a home. The truck went down the driveway, across the street and into another driveway, where it pushed a parked car into a shed.

The truck continued forward, hitting a tree in the yard and coming to a stop.

Police said the driver suffered a medical episode. He was given CPR at the scene and taken to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver was identified as a 62-year-old man from Exeter, RI. Police said he suffered a medical episode while driving the truck and sustained no additional injuries in the crash.
